A & B- Apnea & Bradycardia
Amblyopi - most often results when the eyes are not aligned (strabismus) or when one eye is significantly more nearsighted, farsighted or astigmatic
Apnea - periods where breathing is shallow or stops for 30-60 seconds
BP- Blood pressure
Bradycardia - AKA Bradies, when the heartrate slows or drops for periods of 30-60 seconds
CBC - Compleate blood count
CPAP- Continuious Positive Airway Pressure
Destating - when oxygen saturation levels dip below a set point usually 85%
G Tube- A feeding tube inserted in the stomach
HFNC-Humidified high flow nasal cannula, providing positive distending pressure to humidified gas flow through the standard neonatal nasal cannula
High Sat- High Oxygen Saturation
Low Sat- Low Oxygen Saturation
MicroPreemie- a baby born weighing under 2lb
Nasal Cannula - used to deliver oxygen by using a tube that fits on the face or behind the ears
NCPAP - nasal continuous positive airway pressure, the use of a nasal cannula that is under constant pressure, less invasive then the CPAP
NICU- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Pick Line - A central IV line inserted in the arm, forehead or leg
PTL - Pre term labor
RBC - Red blood cells
Strabismus - Each eye has six muscles that control the movement of the eyeball and keep the two eyes aligned. When one or more of the muscles are not working properly, the eyes go out of alignment. This condition is known as strabismus.
WBC- White blood cells
Windowing - Using the nasal cannula for short periods of time

i am so glad he is doing so well. he is definately a fighter! i wonder where he got that?...Nola.. i am so happy for you guys you just don't know. keep well and keep him safe.
